As he explores this cryptic environment, he recovers more fragments of his past through a series of old photographs. These memories reveal glimpses of past relationships and his dreams of sailing around the world. He pieces together his identity while navigating unsettling discoveries deep within the cave.

Doug Merrett is a repeat offender in the Little Book Collective, having participated in the 2023 cohort. He grew up between a mining town in Labrador and a manse in Lunenburg county. As an amateur time traveller, he sends his ideas far into the future for more efficient procrastination. He currently resides, with his emotional support wife, as close to the ocean as his budget allows.
