Title: Poetry Foundation Lecture called “Tide of Voices: Why Poetry Matters Now” by the poet Mark Doty

This week’s Rabbit Hole is a poetry lecture by the wonderful American poet, Mark Doty. In this program he discusses how poetry nourishes our human needs and wants. He explains that the need not just to speak but to sing is essential. And that in times of fear, hunger and global strife, pleasure and delight are as important as ever.
