We read a wonderful collection of poems, many touching on the theme of Time: a calm acceptance of its passing; an urgent realization that our time here is finite; a kind reminder to be mindful of how we choose to spend our time; and the seasonality of our lives expressed through weather and harvest.
Thank you to those brave and generous friends who shared their own writing today!
It was also a joy to welcome new faces to our gathering!
We discussed next week’s theme: “Invitations”. Bring along poems to read, and if you feel inspired, write a poem based on that prompt.
